Robert Jackson, CPA, MTax, is a senior manager in the tax department. Robert joined AGP in 2020 with a wealth of tax and public accounting experience spanning more than two decades. Spending most of his career in senior-level leadership roles, Robert specializes primarily in partnership tax consulting and compliance, collaborating with clients on a wide variety of issues. Often sought out by colleagues for his vast knowledge of tax law, Robert serves as the tax technical lead within the firm. As the tax technical lead, Robert is responsible for keeping the firm aware of changes in tax laws and leading AGP to ensure staff are up-to-date on tax-related expertise. In 2020, Robert was named chair of the firm’s Covid-19 Response Team, providing technical insights to navigating the ever-changing Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) regulations for business owners. Robert and his team held several webinars for clients, community members, and non-profits during the early onset of the pandemic, answering business owners’ questions on the latest legislative relief programs. In addition to the public resources provided by Robert through the Covid-19 Response Team, he also served as the internal lead for the employee retention credit and PPP-related questions, updates, and next steps for staff. Robert holds a Bachelor of Business Administration/Accounting degree from Kent State University and a Master of Taxation degree from the University of Denver. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
