Post-graduation, I emerged victorious, landing a position with a big accounting firm high above the electric streets of an exciting city. This was it. I had arrived.
Then a curious thing happened. Over time I realized the highly expensive, hectic lifestyle of this city was stealthily taking more than it was giving. The firm provided superb training and an educational first push into the world of accounting and finance, but such a large operation often necessitates swift guidance into niches before discovery of natural interests. The many-layered hierarchical structure of a big firm results, at times, in difficulty grasping the full picture of a project or overall workings of the practice. Although I truly had a rich and wonderful experience, I thought I could potentially find a better fit.
Finding the Right Fit in Northeast Ohio
And now here I am, contentedly careening through cozy side streets of the delightfully affordable and comfortably dynamic paradise that is Northeast Ohio. Apple Growth Partners feels like an old friend I just met. I recently started with the Business Valuation group, and the people across departments and functions have consistently proven to be as warm and welcoming as they are intelligent. I was very quickly presented with meaty and engaging projects. Apple Growth employees at every level immediately made me feel supported and as though the collective was committed to and responsible for each individual’s success. Apple Growth team members share an invigorating level of optimism and enthusiasm for their work and firm. I am quite happy to be home.
