When You Should Have Your Data Tested for ACA Compliance
It’s always good to be prepared. When it comes to Affordable Care Act, you’ll want to be fully prepared and have all of your information ready for reporting requirements.
When You Have to Report By
Health coverage providers need to file the information return and transmittal form with the IRS on or before Feb. 28, or March 31 if filed electronically, of the following year in which minimum essential coverage was provided to an employee. However, Applicable Large Employers are also required to provide the same information to each full-time employee by Jan. 31.
When You Should Report
Just because the deadline is in January doesn’t mean you should wait until then. ACA compliance requires a lot of data, so procrastination could lead to some issues if there are any problems with the information you provide.
Instead, you can work with my aca partner to test your information way ahead of the deadline to help avoid potential problems. With my aca partner, you can easily upload your information now to save yourself the headache of having to do so when a deadline looms.
