Heather is a certified public accountant and a graduate of DePaul University with both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a masters in taxation. Heather began her accounting career in 1994 as a tax staff accountant with one of the “Big Four” international accounting firms. She was a member of their Real Estate and Hospitality tax group, primarily working with top Chicago real estate lessor and developer clients. After gathering experience in the real estate industry with a couple of private real estate companies in their in-house tax departments, Heather decided to return to public accounting and began her career with Burton Partners in 2005. Heather has experience in tax and financial consulting for closely held businesses and individuals, with a specialization in partnerships and the rental real estate industry. Having previously served as Treasurer, Heather is an active member in the Schaumburg Women’s Alliance Group, and also volunteers with the Girl Scouts and other community organizations.
