Location: In office (at any AGP office location) or hybrid (office/remote) or fully remote

Job Summary


We are looking to expand the team in our Business Valuation and Litigation Consulting practice. We are seeking talented individuals with experience in financial modeling/business valuations and forensic accounting. The Business Valuation Senior Analyst supports the entire Business Valuation team in determining the value of a business or company. The Business Valuation Senior Analyst also assists the Business Valuation team in the calculation of economic damages, asset tracing, forensic accounting procedures and other detailed financial analysis. The team produces detailed reports that are used in litigation matters, divorce proceedings, ESOPS, business sales, estate planning and other matters.


Our nationally recognized experts have collective experience of 80 years in business valuation, ESOP feasibility and valuation, litigation consulting, expert testimony and financial modeling. You will be joining a team that speaks regularly at national association conferences, publishes e-books 


and articles on valuation topics and serves in leadership positions for various associations, including: NACVA, American Society of Appraisers, The ESOP Association and Ohio Employee Ownership Center.


Essential Tasks and Responsibilities


The essential functions for this role includes, but is not limited to:


  • Completes client fieldwork relating to business valuation engagements including economic and industry research, financial statement analysis, and guideline company searches.
  • Produces high-quality financial analysis and narrative reports
  • Maintains effective client relationships
  • Takes ownership of projects and move those projects to a successful conclusion
  • Research intermediate/complex valuation and accounting topics
  • Mentors Analysts and Interns


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Experience in financial modeling including building models in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal and team skills
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements and financial statement analysis
  • Strong understanding of financial theory and general accounting issues
  • Strong written communication skills
  • High degree of personal ethics and integrity


Summary Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • Preferred certifications (obtained or to be pursued): ABV, ASA, AVA, CFA, CVA

Working Environment


The Akron, OH AGP office is our headquarter location and this position would thrive in an environment amongst their peers and colleagues. A hybrid or in office work location is preferred however, this position is eligible for our work from anywhere environment which allows individuals in this role to determine where they work best. 


Physical Demands


The employee regularly must be able to complete the following activities during his/her job: walking, talking, typing, hearing within normal ranges, and repetitive motion.

Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Involves sitting most of the time.
